The general aim of the project envisaged the increase of educational potential of the biggest local vocational schools, for which Mikołów County and Grandola Municipality are leading bodies- Complex of Technical Schools in Mikołów and School Cluster in Grandola. According to the project results and outcomes, it was achieved through achievement of following detailed aims:
Development of knowledge and practical skills of the pupils from schools mentioned above, especially as for the key competences in ICT, English and entrepreneurship.
Development of pupils’ interest in the direction mentioned above.
Increase of group cooperation skills.
Professional re-orientation and assistance in planning the future vocational career.
These aims have been accomplished through the participation of beneficiaries in the training held in the system of extracurricular activities in the domain of ICT, English and entrepreneurship- selected according to pupils’ interests. Before the beginning of the project, there was a questionnaire survey carried out in order to examine the needs for extracurricular activities for pupils from vocational schools. The introduction of common ICT tool through the reputable European course ending with ECDL certificate (enriched with English classes- and enabling the pupils use of computer programs in this international language), as well as the classes of entrepreneurship (enabling the future graduates of technical schools to find their place on the labour market)- let cooperating partner organisations from Mikołów County and Grandola to disseminate the effective model of exchange of experiences in the domain of education and their promotion in the local, regional and international scale. The possibility of gaining the ECDL certificate became be the kind of confirmation of pupils’ PC skills. The workshop character of classes was implemented by e-learning method, as well as by exercises and case studies, direct contact with teacher or trainer, getting to know the individual needs and adjusting the contents and didactical forms to the needs and possibilities of pupils taking part in these forms. This project support covered 60 pupils of Complex of Technical Schools in Mikołów and 582 (number of pupils that participated in the Extracurricular Classes financed by Grândola Municipality) of Schools Cluster of in Grândola.
